Bent Push Rod
What would cause this? I Only have 3 hours on the motor since having a bunch of warranty items completed.

Re: Bent Push Rod
Over-rev, but it can get bent if it jumps out of the rocker too, and I'm sure there is other ways as well.

Re: Bent Push Rod
It was still connected on the top rocker arm side but out of the seat where it meets the head.

Re: Bent Push Rod
Don't worry about it. Just replace it, and keep a close eye on your lash. I check mine at every oil change.

Re: Bent Push Rod
Cool. I ran it a while back to the boat ramp that way hope it didn't do further damage. My 12 year old is now pretty pissed we are missing the youth opener tomorrow

Re: Bent Push Rod
If it was out of place mostly caused by over reving and vlave lash set to loose, when you replace rod make sure and reset lash. run it a couple of hours and recheck it. should be good to go after that. R
Right back at ya CB lol

Re: Bent Push Rod
Was just joy riding when it happened. Haven't ran it hard or over rev 'd since getting it back. Must have been the valve lash too loose. Thanks for the help
