Has anybody tried an after market hydraulic actuator on ther motor. For trim or anything else. Reason I ask, I have manual reverse on my PD 36. Best friend has auto rev on his PD 36. He also own a machine shop with mills, lathes, cnc and a whole lot more crap. He is taking it as a challenge to prove that he can mill out the parts to make mine auto reverse if I get an actuator. So basically, I need a 12v hydraulic ram to make this work. Best of all, it's no sweat on me. He's taking his shit apart to get the measurements and then cut me out. Before anyone says, copyrite, this is for me alone. Not for sale. He makes approx 7 figs out his shop and doesn't need the money. But when your best friend calls you out ;) , he felt the need to flex his muscles.

So fellow mudders, give me some ideas. :D

Damn. All these Macgyvers and nothing. Been looking on web. Found a hydraulic ram rated for 3000 psi for $105 (replicable hydraulic place). Found pump/tank combo (SAE J1171), 3000 psi for $280. This pump/tank combo looks like the new PD one, with the plastic reservoir. Hell I figured at least someone tried this as power trim on older models.

you can find a ram easy... then just find a pump
