I just found out the Hopkins Hog mufflers exist and was wondering:

1) Is the Hopkins Hog quieter or louder than the BPS Crossover
2) Which has better tone
3) Which has better flow
4) Do either of them backfire?
5) Have read about alot of cracks on the Crossover. What about the hog?

btw... Marshmellow not valid to the discussion because they don't make one for a small block.

Thx!

I could be wrong, but I don't believe any of the above are in production.

The Hog's I've seen were pretty rough looking when new. Haven't seen one in a long time though.

The crossover w/ longer primary pipes will give better performance.

The latest crossovers have not been cracking like the older ones, at least mine hasn't and other people on here running the new ones haven't, and with the silencer in its close to stock noise wise except with better tone

Thanks for the info guys. The couple of videos I could find on Youtube that had crossovers sounded super loud so it is good to know it is much better with the baffle. I had also read that the Hogg was rough looking but everyone said they were tough. It is good to have options :)

I couldn't tell but I am guessing the baffle was out in that video?

I run the 2 to 1 Crossover- no silencer required for it.

I have never seen that 2 to 1 Y Crossover and cannot find it on BPS's website, but I am guessing it is for 35 blocks only?

Found another video with a Crossover on a 23

I wish I could get my hands on the 2in1 (Y) Crossover. The regular one seems too loud.
