 Thinking of adding cam
Thinking of adding cam to my bd5500 just wondering what a difference it would make?

Might gain 1-2mph on top end. Load carrying is where the can will shine.

I can't turn but 4700 rpm's had 4 people in the boat this weekend turning 4600 just don't know if i really need it

Not sure didn't GPS it but it wasn't slow at all I'm thinking at least 29 or 30

If you're running that without a can I wouldn't really worry about adding a cam unless you are struggling to get on plane.

Thanks guys im running 40 47 gears would a 46 bottom make any more speed?

40/47 gears?
If you turning 4700 with those gears running 30mph, your getting a whopping 28% slippage. So either your prop is wore out or your over trimming.
Gear down, check prop/ trim height. And watch load carrying increase, acceleration, and top speed. Put the cam if you ain't happy.

I'm running the hammer prop now ran it with GPS yesterday 3 guys 1-150 2-200 got 33 mph in the sweet spot at 4580 to 4600 had the prop a while does have some slight wear but not much
