Re: 35 GTR clutch cover
I still have original on boat and is 2-1/2 years old. I drilled out all the wholes bigger , and added two more big holes in the middle sections. Try not to rip the cover off when servicing. looks like you pulled it to far apart

Re: 35 GTR clutch cover
Damn DDM, when I come back for my second go around I want to be just like you. You are the greatest at everything concerning MMs. Now for the cover try shimming it from the inside, so when you tighten it, it doesn't bend it in at the holes. Put a washer or something on the inside against the cover on the bolt that is sticking out.

Re: 35 GTR clutch cover
Theres like a rubber thingy that like goes over the two peices that hold it together, idk what its called, just slides on the over it and holds them together. bolting it closed might be cause too much vibration causing it to crack.

Re: 35 GTR clutch cover
I have had my cover for 2-1/2 year no cracked or melted cover. And I run the shit out of my motor , Im not sure if he is putting it on to tight or ripping it off to mess with clutch but they should no be breaking that much . I can see melting but not cracking . Just bc something breaks is it the parts fault? Or could it be possibly the guy working on the part? I know 5-6 guys been running stock cover for longer than me . No cracks or melting
