Hey guys I just bought I new pd the other day and was wondering what the break period for these engines are? Any help would be appreciated.

It s a lawn mower engine. Change your oil after the first 5 hours. Thats about it.

For me, the cavitation plate bolting hardware seems to be a real bad actor...even with Locktite.

I picked up my PD last week. I ran it for about an hour and dumped the oil replaced it with some cheap 5W - 30 then ran the piss out of it last weekend. Changed the oil and filter replaced the oil with some good synthetic 5W - 30. I put about 7 hrs on it this weekend.

The warranty is your break in period.

They give you 3 years to try and blow it up for free.
