Charges at idle speed, but is limited to 4300 rpm

Charging system, lighter fly wheel..Do a search on cdi. There was a topic about it a month or so ago explaining the ends and out about it.

Coils have auto timing advance starts out about 10* so it gives you a stable idle and then runs up to about 22-24* at WOT

If its a new motor, u should have the 4700 rpm coils stock. The only problem wif that is the engine can't turn the prop any more than ~4100 Rpms stock.

Only high rev marine motors have 4700 coils

I got it out last night for the first time on the lake I noticed it was running at about 1500 RPMs at Idol it should be 1200 right like my old motor ?

set it where its the smoothist...... i dont think it matters....
