I was told last week when I picked up my new rig to not pay attention to the fill mark and just put 2qt so I made my own mark where the level was when I picked it up and ill just run it there. |

Seems like to me that you should follow the manufacturer's specs unless you have an aftermarket oil cooler or a large capacity oil filter. 27 PD FPR 16x36 skiff |

They told me 2 1/2 quarts. Don't pay attention to dip stick. Is that wrong? |

Briggs made the motor. I'd follow their specs and fill it to the full mark. The only time I over fill it a little is if the filter is empty. |

Briggs designed the motor to be run at a slight angle at most. Some of the angles these motors see are extreme. Take the sport V for example. A lil extra wont hurt |

Damn. Guess I'm going to drain some oil. I'm no mechanic but whatever the gasket is called where the motor splits in the back is leaking. May be that's why. |

I though you had to put oil until yoiu could see it from fill port then always go a little more so it right at top of threads .!! But hell what do I know I don't know how to build a 1000hp race boat that goes moc 2 so not sure maybe someone else knows |

Just incase there are people still not sure what to do. You go in the kitchen, pull your pants down, open a drawer, put your pecker in there, slam it repeatedly, and hopefully when done you will not be able to reproduce and screw up this planet anymore than it already is. Then fill the Damn oil to the mark and go on. |
