Just remember if it comes off a horizontal motor The outlet will be pointing down if installed on a vertical motor like a pd

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
I was told it will bolt up but the outlet will be pointing straight down. Might be able to weld a 90 on it to turn it toward back. Great price though.

Call the Boat Dr. in Harahan
He sells stocks that are take-offs when he does engine mods.

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
Reason I ask is I made my own for my 07'. IMG_1195.JPG
But I have recently bought the hydro reverse kit and I don't have the room to install the Hydro ram, exhaust it too tight of fit. IMG_1556.JPG
So I'm either gonna make another one, or buy a stock one and gut it. The sotck one will already give me the clearance for the ram, so alittle less fab work.
You have any picks of it? How did you manage the outlet pipe sticking straight down?

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
I will get you some pics. But I got a 1-1/2" 90 from all purpose pipes toned it down some. you can't beat the price and you can gut one in a few hours.

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
The only bad thing about the MB muffler is the outlet pipe is welded to the other side of the can. So to get the guts out you have to cut a hole in the side of the muffler and then patch it. The 90 helps keep the sound from bouncing off the water. I rolled a piece of 16 ga 304 SS and welded it to the bottom. It keeps the outlet pipe from falling out from all the vibrations.

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
Thats not bad at all. My outlets were 1.5" 45's. I was gonna gut it anyway and weld the outlet pipe in it. I mainly needed the header offset so the ram would fit. I have everything to make another, just no time right now. So you basically put a weld pad around the pipe. Welded the plate to exhaust and ran outlet pipe through both.

 Re: PD 36 stock muffler
Yea, I took a hole saw and cut a hole in the plate and welded I out all the way around. I have had 2 vibrate and break the can. This should solve that problem.
