 Fire coming out of exhaust?
I've got the occasional fire coming out of my exhaust on my new 35hp Go Devil. The motor only has 4 hours on it and it happened for the first time on the second time using it. It also stalls if you let it idle and then squeeze the throttle a little bit, even after it's been running a while. I'm not sure if the two issues are related or not, or if they're even issues to begin with since this is my first MM. I just want to make sure that it's something to be concerned about before I bring it to Go Devil's attention.
Btw, the fire only comes out of the exhaust just before the motor stalls, and once when I turned it off myself.

Re: Fire coming out of exhaust?
Check and see if the exhaust bolts are tight and flange gaskets are good..... air leaking in can cause a flame and backfireing.

bring it back and tell them to fix the shitty ass briggs valves...
some of them you can see daylight through the valve seat on brand new heads that has never been ran

Re: Fire coming out of exhaust?
i have this same issue i noticed last night. it was doing this out of one side of my exhaust on the run back to the dock. Any reason fire would come out of one side like that? ways to stop it?

Re: Fire coming out of exhaust?
oh and i didnt mean that it was coming out of the side, its coming out of one side. i have the extreme v twins exhaust which has dual outlets. there is a crack on the back of it, and the flame is coming out of the side that seems to have the crack.
