Antifreeze in a Cajun injector into the cable |

This is the second morning in a row it has done it. The motor stays under my carport and the trailer freezes to the bottom of the boat. Sent from my iPhone using Smoke Signals |

Mine was froze at the carb yesterday mornin, so last night I wrapped an old Tshirt around it then taped a plastic Walmart sack on it. Took it off at the boat ramp this mornin and didn't have a problem with it. |

Hey guys mine has froze too many times then I care to speak of, motor was useless in cold weather. I would have too exercise the throttle in the back of the boat manually which was dangerous. Just an idea and not sure if it will work for your motor but I was getting desperate and pissed off. What I did was remove a section of throttle cable sleeve in the middle exposing it and left about 10 or 12 inches on each end. It has worked great since then and no more problems. I keep the exposed part of the cable greased a little bit too stop corrosion and rust. Cable is cheap to replace vs the aggravation of a froze cable at ( O Dark Thirty in the morning). Just to add, my throttle cable is unconventional because I use a small screen door pulley and wheel clamped to the handle bar too keep the angle of the cable small before it hooks to the throttle arm on the motor. |
