 Honda GX660 motor problems
My motor will start and run fine but after a while of running it, it will run out of fuel and die. I can keep it running by continually squeezing the bulb on the fuel line. I just replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs and that did not help. Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you fix it? Thanks in advance for all help!

 Re: Honda GX660 motor problems
Hold up on cutting anything just yet, Sounds like you have air getting into the fuel system some where. Start at the tank check your pick up tube and make sure there is no restictions also check to make sure the pick up tube isn't loose. Quick connects can be the devil, also old fuel line tend to delaminate causing inline fuel blockages. Check the primer ball for cracks and also make sure the check valve are working properly.

 Re: Honda GX660 motor problems
The guy I bought my bass boat from had put a mercury replacement line which is what the pic is. I had trouble every once in a while with getting on step. If I eased into it I wouldn't have a problem. I fished a tournament on Toledo Bend and ran some 2.5' waves to the Texas side and back. Next thing you know all I could do is putt putt. Couldn't get on step. Went home drained the tank, pulled the filters and the inline filter was plug with plastic. When I squeezed the bulb to drain the tank chunks were coming out. I went back with all blue ethanol resistant line and blue Marpac bulb. Never had a problem since.

 Re: Honda GX660 motor problems
Ok so when I squeeze the bulb gas will go into filter and then it will drain all back out. So I'm gonna get a new bulb and try that. I've checked all fuel line and everything looks good.

 Re: Honda GX660 motor problems
Get the blue Marpac. It doesn't get hard like the cheap ones. It also has a double stainless ball check valve.
