Post Generac 33 Longtail
Hey all. I have a Mudbuddy Longtail with a Generac 33hp engine. They put the Mikuni Carb kit on it and has run fine. Tonight we were cleaning the carburetor and while running the engine at half throttle oil started pouring out of a tube on the top of the engine. The tube is threaded and has never had anything attached to it. I have no idea what it's for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't really know much about engines. Thanks

Take a pic of the tube you speak of. It sounds like the vent line, if so I never saw oil POUR out of mine.

Post Re: Generac 33 Longtail
Someone finally called me back from Mudbuddy and said that it is a vent line. It seems that the carb cleaner created to much pressure in there and forced the oil out. They told me that if it keeps doing it that it could be a cracked head. We ran the engine today after an oil change and no oil came out. Did get some white residue from the carb cleaner spray out but I expected that. The engine still ran rough so we are changing spark plugs and will give it another shot tomorrow. Thanks for replying.
