Running my 35 Briggs today and it began to lug down and lost power unless reving out of water Now idling back to launch and can't get over 1300rpm. If I give it more throttle it chokes down and dies Thinking my mikuni boot may have cracked any other ideas to check? |

Check ur intake where it bolts on. If gasket is blown it will do that. With motor runnin spray wd40 under the cowling towards where it bolts on. If ur idle changes, that's ur problem. Sent from my iPhone using |

No leaks on carb It is odd how it occurred tho, almost like it was starving for fuel and would run at first but did not have any power, then it got to the point it would run but only at idle was thinking fuel or valve issue I pulled one valve cover off and checked them and thought one was too loose so I reset it best I could without feeler gauge while still on water when I got home, I cranked it, sprayed wd40 and no change, ran it up to rev limiter and it ran fine Pulled plugs and the port side was wet so I pulled valve cover and found bent exhaust rod But odd thing is it ran fine on the trailer before I pulled the plugs |
