Hey can someone post up a pic or email me a wiring diagram for prodrive? My harness got caught around the trim unit and when I trimmed motor down it pulled some wires loose from the plug going to engine. I got it to run but now clutch won't engage and it won't turn off. I searched and found all the same problems on here but no wiring diagram. And pictures on the threads have been deleted.

Thanks for any help guys!

I recieved two drawings from Peck. It dependes on what year you have as to which one to follow. I had a wire short out and burnt some wires in my harness so I totally rewired my rig with a new waterproof connector.

Thanks a bunch! I traced everything down yesterday. Turns out I had a wire pulled from the coil, PTO wire pulled out, 2 wires pulled from the plug and the 4ga wire terminal was broke at the starter. Where did you get that plug from? My factory one is dry rotten so I'm going to replace it just need to pick one up somewhere.

Mine was dry rotted also. The main reason mine burnt was my 07' power wire to the switches was not fused. Well it is now, so when I added the fuse, I found this and decided to rewire the whole damn thing.

banded-mallard,
Man do you have a complete wiring diagram? My diodes are bad on my coils so I need to replace them while I am doing that I want to rewire everything with better/water tight connections. I have a lot of corroded connections and dry-rotted plastic connectors.

Does anyone know if I can fuse the coils to prevent diodes from going out? Would be nice to replace a fuse if the diodes go bad on the water again...

Thanks!

If you look above, I have the two drawings from Prodrive. Actually I talked to Peck yesterday about mine with my Kawasaki project. I was told to cut the diode out of my control box because it wasn't needed and could be giving me trouble. But then again, mine was an 07' non-cdi. Not sure about your coils though.

In general terms...Diodes allow flow of electricity in one direction only and stop it in the opposite direction. Coils create large voltage spikes that can cause damage to other components in their circuit. Install a diode and it will stop that spike and protect the component.
