Do it in the garage, but it's still a pain in the rump...

Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
Bump! Finally got my kawi dialed in, (I think) along with just about a totally new rebuild on the lower unit. 32-33 mph empty boat with 1 person. 29 bumping 30 with 2 people and fishing load. 25-26 mph with 4 fat asses, generator, ice chest full of reds, ice chest of drinks, Bowfishing gear and light rack. Thing is sweet!

Good Deal! There's over 400 hours on mine now and it's still going strong.

The Kawi on my 72 inch hustler mows circles around my 72 inch Ferris with a Briggs 37EFI. The Kawi burns 60% more fuel though.

Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
Hey guys, I like the sound of this Kawi, can you tell me if it bolts to 04 PD units? I have a 27 Kohler on there now, but not really happy with it. Not sure if PD lowers are different depending on HP, in other words is 36HP same as 27HP? thanks for any help.

Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
Some have done it, and from what I'm told, it's a direct bolt up. Same clutch, but will have to drill out engine mounting holes to 3/8 if I remember correctly

Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
If anyone is interested, I still have a Kawasaki block that has been sitting in my garage for a year or so. I don't think I'll ever do anything with it. Has around 250 hours. Probably needs a valve job, and a good carb cleaning, and the muffler needs some cracks welded. Has .050 heads, cam, & Mikuni. I'd probably take $1500 for it. https://youtu.be/QVNIvEiH7OYSent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
first off, you don't have the same block as we do. The fx921v and the fx1000v are the same. So your intake will be different from ours, you'll have to measure and shop around to get the right one.
