Hey guys so I have a 12hp copperhead. Motor and everything works flawlessly. My problem is I can't get my manual trim to stay set, it just keeps backing out. Anyone else had this issue or maybe have some tips or tricks? Thanks

I have owned 3 and have never seen or heard of that problem. You could try some Loc-tite or bring it over to Copperhead as they have great service. Is there any chance you bent the prop and that is causing extra vibration or something?

Yeah my 14 did that. I took the factory trim off and added my own electric.

You can pm me on mmc if you want details. It was Easy to do.

For the guys that said they did have the problem, I am curious. Does your boat vibrate alot and what kind of boat is it? I have heard a boat builder say they redesigned to minimize vibration and harmonics which are a problem even with the Vanguard vtwin engines which are definitely smoother than the 1 cylinder engines.

I guess I could see it happening if you are bouncing off of logs and stumps alot as well. There are not many stumps in either of the areas I hunt.

If you hold the motor off the trim it will back out on the few I've driven but as long as the motors on it it usually stays
