Post 5.7 mercruiser question
So this is not a mudmotor question, but I figured there would be some ppl on here that might know.

The ski boat is having minor issues. 1995 5.7 mercruiser. Motor has an occasional skip to it. It does it often when hitting a wave but it will do it at idle as well. In 30 mins of riding it may do it once. It will do it at idle and kill the motor. Anyone ever seen this?

I would check for a bad deadman switch or a bad linkage shift controL switch. Some older Merc Shift linkage had a momentary kill switch on them to take load off Drive line when shifting into forward and reverse.??? Sounds like something loose or out of adjustment.
