So my improvements are on a 212cc predator engine. 3 stage exhaust, air filter + billet adapter, breather filter, gov removed. It is back firing when throttling down, looked at spark plug and was instantly black and wet #92 jet + emulsion tube. So I started reducing down on the jet. It started back firing again but no black on spark plug. Is this a timing issue? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is the exhaust leaking at the flange on the header? |

Do you have any back pressure on that exhaust? I'm not sure if these motors need it, but I thought they did. |

It doesnt look like the drive is hooked up in those pictures, have you run it? You will never be able to tune it properly without a load. |

Could be a number of things, Timing like you mentioned, improper AF ratio, bad plug/ignition. Also rich conditions usually back fire through the exhaust, lean conditions are normally through the carb. |
