Could someone take a good close up pic[s] of their Mikuni carb with BPS cable set up showing the cable going into the throttle part of the carb? I am trying to finish my carb set up and know of nobody close to take a look at their motor. I am trying to see if I can get the cable to work so I can order the cable and the lever. Thanks. Netman |

Just a though: motorcycle Clutch lever and cable. Or custom cable from a bicycle shop. Wont cost any more, and can be adjusted to get the throw you need and length at the carb necessary for travel and adjustment. Im sure someone will come along with the pics you need, but I thought id offer an out of the box solution you didnt ask for that should work, until you get your answer. |

Dmax thanks a bunch for the pics. Helps out a lot. Question for you.....pic 1. What is the measurement of exposed cable from the end of the protective covering to the knob? Russ thats what I had in mind from day one. I looked at a HD clutch cable[my Heritage Softtail] and its a lot heavier than I think is needed. I am brainstorming right now with the cable and lever. I'm thinking that whatever I do I need to be able to buy cable any where I may be hunting. I'm trying to keep this set up travel friendly. I am thinking about what you mentioned about the custom bicycle cable. That may be the ticket. I did a Google image search for mm with mikuni carbs and BPS equip looking at pictures. One thing that I am going to do is to keep the throttle cable tucked down and out the way for hunting timber and flooded creek bottoms. I seen a lot of pics with guys running the mikuni carbs with the cable sticking up over the top of the carb. That would be big trouble where I hunt. Thanks again guys for the help. |

If you're concerned about being able to replace, get one right, then run back to the bike shop and get another made identical. Toss it in the boat tucked away or zip tie to your fuel line so it's always there |

Cut the liner with a razor blade and then grab the spiral cable protector with some pliers and hold it up a Lil ways with another pair of pliers and pull it until it stretches and then hold with pliers and start in coiling its really hard but will start to untwist until u get where u need it and then just cut it off Sent from my iPhone using |
