I have a 2013 36 HP prodrive on a 1756 G3 that's been customized ,the boat is fairly heavy , my question is, I need more bottom end power and load carrying ability. How much more power would a carb and exhaust upgrade give me?

not much compared to getting the heads worked and gutting your stock exhaust.

Do what he said,^^^^^^^^^ and spend your money on Heads first!
Heads will give you the best load carrying for your buck.

That g3 probably still won't perform. Get a hull better suited for your motor.

Yeah a slick bottom boat would be ideal in shallow mud but I mostly use it in weeds and salt flats, it does 24mph with 3 and a light load, it'll run 29 with only myself in it. Think I might go with a minuki carb and gut the factory exhaust. If that doesn't help then I'll do the heads, also, I'm pretty sure that the motor came from the factory with a valve leak on one or both cylinders. I'm gonna have them look at it next week. I posted pics of the buid in the pics fourm.

You wont get as much out of your carb if your valves are leaking (which most stock engines do).

You see, that is the problem over here.

People ask what is the best bang for their buck, or what will give best results, and then when we tell them, they still dont do what tons of people say,

new person on here says ; "Whats better to do, carb and exhaust? Or heads first"?

20 people on here say; "Getting heads done and valves fixed will be your best bet to get awesome results".

New person says; "Well, ill get the carb and exhaust and see how that goes even though i know my heads are leaking".

Why the hell did you ask in the firs place?
Rant over

Well then, maybe I'll just do heads, carb and exhaust... HOW MUCH more power and LOAD carring capacity would that give me?

It will give you 1.647 hp and allow you to carry 768.4 lbs 2.792 mph faster than before

Lol, thanks, I met a guy in Venice La last weekend that's a bad ass with these motors, I think I'm gonna take my rig to him when season is over and let him trick it out.

Honestly I would do cam carb heads and exhaust be done with it once you get a little taste of power you will want it all usually most people ask me to do heads first and while I'm in process of getting heads shaved and valves ordered they will either add cam or carb they pick up the boat and love it within a month there back for either cam or carb which ever one they didn't choose to do when they did heads so if you got the funds get it over with do it all but heads is a must and exhaust also either gut it or aftermarket
