Can anyone tell me what they know about companies working on parts for the new EFI Briggs engine? Will the ECM have to be re flashed after every mod? And, has anyone ran one yet? |

Bottom line up front (BLUF): Not enough is known about the Briggs EFI system (yet) but as this becomes more main stream I am sure more options in the performance world will become available. why is everyone worried about the program of EFI being not compatible with MODS? I would think you would want to know if the big block EFI is also getting the New Vanguard Head and Seats like the 810 cc EFI. Or how are they reading the diagnostic codes? http://www.vanguardengines.com/engines/ ... EA130.ashx If you are really worried MODS and are trying to build a drag racer, not concerned with drivability or reliability I would call PD and talk to them. They are the only major MM company that has been researching and developing an EFI system for this application |

I talked to someone on Facebook that has the briggs program for the new EFI and he says he can do anything he wants to the motor he just hasn't become educated in it all yet. because all of this is so new. I talked to mac exhaust and they say their exhaust will bolt up no problem. But, and i don't like this they say to just unplug the mapping sensor. Also, my dealer talked to mud buddy and BPS should be starting to work on mods for it to become a 44 or larger. only time will tell! |

Hey diesel mechanic, give us the low down on why people should buy the PD EFI system vs. The Briggs system. And will they be able to remap the Briggs eventually? |

What if the injectors, O2 sensors etc were used off of the briggs and a new computer was hooked up? Like the microsquirt. Does that seem like it would work and make the motor open to more mods? |
