I just bought a 35 hp go devil surface drive. I put it on a 1644 weld bilt boat. Transom height is 15 1/2 inches. My problem is when I put the handle in floating position. It blows out of the water at full throttle. I bought new trim tabs. Same problem. I've added weight all around the boat same problem. I straightened out the skag to its factory bend. Same problem. Motor is only 5 months old. Help |

I've been talking to Mr Coco for 3 weeks. I've already bought and installed the trim tabs. He has yet to tell me my boat is to small. It a short transom motor. Me coco said transom height is good. And the angle of the transom had nothing to do with it. That that's what the trim is for. Right now he is saying skeg was bent to much. I Bent it back to original bend. Ran it same results. |

Are you throwing a rooster tail when your running? You might need to trim it down a little. Go Devils aren't supposed to throw a rooster tail like a GTR or MB. I about sold mine when I found this out. ![]() |

Not cutting the plate Off it would make no sense to do so. Considering the fact that while your running it's totally out of the water. I bought it from a guy running a 1648. I talked to a guy on another forum. With the same boat and motor runs good with no problem. It's not just a Jon boat I have it on. It's a mudd motor boat. Title says 1644 go devil. |

Mr coco told me that I wouldn't get maximum performance out of the boat. But it should still stay in the water. I bought the new trim tabs. That u adjust then screw them on. |

Friend of mind has a gdsd 35 on 15' sea ark and it does the same thing. He just pined the tiller and holds it, as long as there's pressure on it then its fine. That boat hauls ass too, runs right at 30 I believe |
