Post Anyone running aftermarket EFI on a GTR?
Ready to buy the ecotrons kit and wanted to see if anyone else is running it. Also wondering if it made a big difference over stock carb and motor. Has anyone sucessfully installed this kit?

the PD kit comes with great support - well worth any extra cost.

try this thread - a lot of BS and some usable stuff.

if you talk to ecotrons be sure to ask what tech support they have and how they are pulling diagnostic codes from the system.

Here is your support from the ecotrons website
"It is recommended for those people who are not mechanical inclined, or do not have means, to pay those who are capable to install the kit for them. The best installers are the mud boat dealers, or those who have already been doing some performance engine mods. An important benefit is that you know you can get immediate help from this local installer if you run into any issue."

Nope still there. Waiting for the merger to be complete.

Are you still working for the #2 MM company in the world? I thought they would have laid you off by now with things slowing down..Lmao

To the OP--either get the PD kit or get another whole engine with factory efi. Save yourself the trouble.

I see y'all got E2 & E5. Did E3 & E4 not make it?

I have a 2013 Gen. 2 36hp with constant carb issues, how much for one of the E-2 or E-5 upgrades and what work is done to the engine. I do not run any mud, mostly looking for speed in a shallow river.

Thanks, I got to do something before long, the boat runs great but the carbs suck. I don't get it, I have lawn mowers (with Briggs engines) that I have treated so bad its embarrassing and the mower has fallen apart but the engine still going strong.

yep - I think it is because in other equipment with these motors, you fire it up slam it to WOT and go - boat motors are run through all RPM ranges constantly not just idle / WOT
