 Help! Mud buddy problem.
I have a 23 horse mud buddy on a 1544 alumacraft. I can not even get it to plain off with another person or just myself. I feel like the motor and everything is fine. It's almost like it's not getting good water. It's a tunnel hull and I had the motor on the transom and it ran the same so I lowered on a jack plate a little. It's about the same maybe worse. I feel like this boat souls be smokin with that motor. Any suggestions for a fix?

I think u answered ur own question. I've read these motors don't match up well with a tunnel hull. Trade it for a flat bottom boat.

If you are married to that tunnel hull, you may ask MB about a longer outdrive to get the prop back in clean water.

 Re: Help! Mud buddy problem.
I'm guessing it's a mini? 27" inch drive? Tunnel hull mixes oxygen (white water) with the water and a prop won't generate thrust. Like deadbird8 said ud need a longer out drive. I'd just go to a 1648 alumacraft ncs flat bottom. Love mine w/ gun box. That mud buddy should push a 1648ncs dam good
