The directions say to trim a half inch of the black plastic off the cable by the throttle. It already has a finished metal end. Why would I need to trim off any plastic? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Im pretty sure you cant use your factory cable with the mikuni and factory grip. Except it may work on a pro drive, been a while since I've seen a stock cable. Cant remember what the grip end looks like for sure |

Flint go ahead and get the Bps throttle and cable before you break that cheap plastic one and have to make it back by pulling the cable with pliers like I did lol Sent from denda this |

I used the stock plastic GTR throttle handle. The Mikuni kit came with a new cable. Have to use it because the stock cable won't work with it. The directions in the Mikuni kit were ok, but the changing of the fuel needle and seat as well as the trimming of the throttle cable were unnecessary. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Some of the older throttle cables would not fit down in the holder on top of the carb with the black black plastic coating on the cable so you had to trim some of the shield off to let it seat. If you cable fits all the way to the bottom of the holder trimming is not needed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

It does not go down far enough to use the split ring. The directions did not say to replace the split ring anyway so I figured it wasn't necessary. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Runs great on the trailer. Fired right up. Spent about 2 seconds tweaking the idle. Going to put it in the water tomorrow. I am probably going to replace the throttle lever down the road. My buddy has one and it is a big improvement over the plastic one. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

My hand will cramp with this new cable. There is zero slack in it so my hand is stretched out. The old cable had a ton of slack in it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
