Opinions needed! Mod or dont mod?
Right now I have a 09 35 hd sport with about 100 hours. I had the carb and exhaust done several years ago making it a 4000. The motor starts first crank, idles perfect, and I run top speed at about 4150 by myself with a moderate hunting load. Multiple people I have a problem with speed and even keeping my rpms up. I am afraid that if I did the heads and cam I would run the risk of messing something up! Is the heads and cam worth the money and risk? I just don't want to loose a fast starting good idling motor! I am about 99% sure I can do it but I hate there isn't a video of this yet? All opinions appreciated

Some good headwork will make a world of difference. As for the cam, I wouldn't mess with it until the case gasket started leaking.
You'll be happy with headwork.

Just did heads cam exhaust and tuner on my EFI. Gained 16hp and 8mph on a very heavy boat so glad I did. The guys at delta performance are pros and do outstanding work.

Re: Opinions needed! Mod or dont mod?
I just did heads and carb (already had exhaust). What a difference it made. Amazing all around performance on my 35GTR CDI with a 3 blade on and 1860 Alumitech boat.

When the case starts leaking I will be installing a cam.

Re: Opinions needed! Mod or dont mod?
Case gasket is still good. I'll do the cam when it goes. Just heads, carb, exhaust provided very impressive performance. I bet a mud buddy big blade prop will further improve performance.
