Quick question here.. The bearings in the steering neck on a GTR, can they be bought anywhere or is a Gatortail only part? I know in my harley steering neck a 1" trailer bearing works perfect so i wasnt sure if the same would go for this. |

It will be the easiest place to get them. Is your tower really sloppy wit movement? |

Yeah, its pretty bad. I picked up a used motor that runs like a top just needs these bushings or bearings changed and it will be good. It doesnt look like a bad job at all to do. Im going to give gatortail a ring in a bit and see what they say though. |

They going to tell you to not worry about it. They all get slop in them over time. |

Changed the bushings out last night and it was breeze! The shaft in the tower was rusted really bad so i gave it a good cleaning and greased it good then put it all back together. There is still a little slop in the bottom bushing but nowhere near what it had. |
