I have seen the pics on the cam installation process where you line up the marks on the cam and the crank shaft. That part is simple. However, if I wanted to advance the timing let's say 3 degrees, what exactly is involved? Also, what would be the benefit? My motor set up right now is .030 heads ported and polished with oversized valves, mikuni carb and Q exhaust. Boat is a 18x44 Gator Trax with 2 gun boxes and one large bench type box. Motor turns 4400 rpms with just me. I'm leaning towards the PVT cam since I looking for more top end power. |

That has to be ground into the cam centerlines, Unless you have a Billet cam with an adjustable timing gear. |
