Ok.... I kno it's been talked ab but I can't decide. I will be putting it on a custom hull 1650 from shallow water customs. Any opinions accepted. Thanks

Black Death isn't anything special. You can get aftermarket mods and crap all over a black death.

You can buy the 37 and have it modded with better components than BPS, which is what the black death comes with. Not only that, but it will far outperform the black death. Not really any question on what to do IMO.

I mean as they come from the factory. I kno I could mod the 37 to put perform the bd. But I'm on the fence ab both of them as they come new

My two cents, If you have the ability to trouble shoot your motor and fix it your self go with the BD its carberated and easily fixed at home or on the water. If you depend on having a dealer do the trouble shooting go with the 37 EFI. Hopefully he has what he needs to fix your motor. Also always carry a cell phone, so help can be called when on the water.

If you are planning on modding the motor later down the road get the 37. If you don't plan on doing any mods and would like to have the extra HP get the Black Death. Me personally I wish I would have went BD when I bought new. I do t want to drop the 3k to mod my motor but I do want that extra HP.

Stock 37 is a pretty impressive motor.

Efi motors run, and you will retain the briggs warranty vs the pro rated bps one on the 4400

if your worried about cost then you should check out gator tail. they had a dealer posting a hdr $1000 more than a gtr 2 days ago.
