 GTR37 efi mod stages
Im getting a 1754 prodigy with a gtr37 efi soon and wanted to be able to run in the low 30's at least. I know there are the 3 stage kits for the GTR. I was curious is how unreliable does each stage get? Who actually has the stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 on a 37 efi? How many hours have you had on it and any problems?

 Re: GTR37 efi mod stages
I would call Chad and talk with him about what you are wanting to get out of the boat performance wise. He will be able to give you all the info as well as prices for BPS and DPE mods. I know he has a used DPE level3 GTR with 11 hours for a pretty good price.

 Re: GTR37 efi mod stages
Deltas level 3 is a very solid setup. I've got well over 100hrs on mine.

 Re: GTR37 efi mod stages
I have talked with him and he said delta level 3 for what I want, I just don't want to cut down on reliability cause this is going to be my all around hunting, fishing, gigging, frog gigin rig

 Re: GTR37 efi mod stages
I have more confidence in a delta level 3 than I do a stock 37

 Re: GTR37 efi mod stages
Longevity balls down to how well a motor is maintained. Keep up with it and it will treat you right. When you get a set of heads, Not only do you get better compression and flow. You get reliable stainless steel valves, and a Good valve job that seals to the seats. You are making an efficient engine. Changing the cam basically has the engine create more power in that usable range we all like. If you use the power sensibly, there is no reason to say the engine is less reliable.
I say run it stock long enough to season the heads !!!

Of the ones who run delta level 3 motors, do y'all have any problems with them running too rich? My buddy has one and it has a tendency to foul he plugs every 20 or so hours. It smells really rich at idle too.
