prodrive trim cylinder seal

 prodrive trim cylinder seal Anyone ever rebuild the trim cylinder ? Mine is leaking a little when it extends out. I'm sure it can't be that hard. Any tips before I tear it apart?

Re: prodrive trim cylinder seal Ok Thanks. The rod is in good shape. No pits at all. I ordered a rebuild kit from prodrive. I'll see if i can't screw it up when i tear it apart.

Re: prodrive trim cylinder seal Their rebuild kit didn't work on my trim ram. I had an older model. I ended up finding a guy in Kenner who rebuilds hydraulics that had the right seals.

Re: prodrive trim cylinder seal Thanks wilson. I received the kit from prodrive the other day but haven't had time to tear into it yet. Hopefully it will work . My motor is a 2010 so not sure if that will make a difference.

Re: prodrive trim cylinder seal I wish they had a 12V linear actuator that "performed" like the hydro ram, that way all the hydraulic shit could be eliminated.
