prodrive momentary switch question
I went to change the momentary button today and there is what looks like a small resistor connected to one side of the button. The other end wasn't connected to anything. Is this necessary? Any help would be appreciated. Going to try and attach a picture. not sure if it will work.

Re: prodrive momentary switch question
Sounds like it might be a diode. Does it have a arrow on it. Pointing one way. If so it is stopping back feed. And yes it has to have both ends connected.

Re: prodrive momentary switch question
Mine is a 2007. Went bad and wouldn't allow the clutch to engage. Called PD and cut the diode out. Mine was in shrink wrap. Since cutting it out approx. 5 years ago, no issues.

Wire came undone beneath the console.
Or, you need a new PTO switch.
