Post Stage 2+ GTR moving to quieter exhaust
I have a stage 2+ GTR 35 on an 1854 Gatortail. I currently have a Voodoo w/baffled exhaust but it's too loud for my young boys to ride in. Can I downgrade the exhaust to a gutted stock or anything else that may be quieter?

I don't mind losing a little performance. I bought it stage 2 w/ the voodoo but have previously been happy with the speed and power of a completely stock 35. I just want to find a way to make it quieter without running a risk of messing up the motor.

Run a fully baffled exhaust to be the quietest. It will choke the motor a tad, but it will still be plenty powerful. Next step up will be a BPS q, then a Stainless works.

I was thinking a BPS-Q but not 100% sure yet. How much of a sound difference is there between a gutted stock and a Q?

Gutted stock is just as loud as some of the others. Only way to quiet an exhaust is with baffled restriction. BPS q is a deeper tone than stock and not hard on the ears.

I have the Q and think it is actually quieter than the stock...with a slight growl. I've got a baffled BPS Rapid exhaust coming that I am curious to see how it sounds. I really liked the Q. From the videos I've seen of the baffled Rapid, it is louder than the Q...but, still has a nice town and not near as loud as the other performance exhausts out there. It also has some good dyno results...baffled and non-baffled. I'll post my thoughts after I get it installed and let you know what I think about it compared to the Q.
