Re: 60 hp outboard opinions
Im going to wait till next year for two reasons.
1. Going through one of those things where a husband and a wife get lawyers and split up.
2. Hunting season is just around the corner, and i wouldn't use it much.

Re: 60 hp outboard opinions
I’m looking to swap to that Mercury 60 command thrust. I’d be curious to see if anybody is running one.

Re: 60 hp outboard opinions
I've been running a merc 60 bigfoot for a couple years now, it's bulletproof.
if u find a good deal on a 90 merc 2 stroke, it's a beast, but burns some fuel.
got plenty of friends running the Yamaha 70 4 stroke. great motor as well.
know several guys fishing with Hondas, but too soon to see if they hold up.
good luck !!!!

Re: 60 hp outboard opinions
I don’t care to run over 35 mph, I just want a quiet Motor that will plane a load.

Re: 60 hp outboard opinions
[quote
What size boat are you running that Bigfoot on and what type of speed are you getting?[/quote]
the 60 fourstroke bigfoot is on a 1860 tracker grizzly. I use it as a camp boat. it will run between 30 and 35 on gps. depends on the load. everyday. tiller handle, no power trim.
the 90hp merc 2 stroke would go a honest 40 on gps on my beat up 20x44 skiff. plenty fast for a skiff. loaded or empty. lol faster if u propped it right and played with the trim.
my friend with the 70f yamadog runs about like my old 90 did. speed wise. he loves his motor. most guys I talk to with the f70 claim high 30's. it sips gas.
I haven't been around the sukuki.
