All right, after hours of searching online and coming up empty, I turn to MMT for some help. I currently have a stock MB mini 25 and am wanting to install a Mikuni carb on it, but don't even know where to begin. I have a fairly high degree of mechanical ability, so I believe I could do this work myself and save some serious cheese. Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. Also, what other upgrades would you recommend, exhaust, throttle cable, rev. limiter etc.....

Ya mustn't have searched to well because it has been talked about and done a lot here lol

the best upgrade is a big block.
It has been tried.
I do think you have to change out the intake for the mikuni to work.
Let me do some searching that you didn't do and see what I can come up with

There's a guy that recently got with Midwest supercub and built his kohler up. Think he was pretty happy, but that won't be the cheapest option.

im assuming its a kohler command Vtwin?? if so get some 18 hp heads for and a 30 hp crank and it will flat run with the stock carb. All the lawn mower pullers use them around here and u can get serious reliability and a major HP gain out of simply running stock 18 & 30hp parts on the 25 block

I recently built my 25 Kohler. I used the crank from Midwest supercub, the upgraded stock carb they sale that is tune able, the bps q exhaust and got my heads decked by a local guy. The motor ended up producing a lot more power and has a lot of torque on the low end. Pushes my 18-42 skiff a whole lot better than before. Get with Julian at Midwest he can help you out, really knowledgeable with kohlers.
