First Oil Change and Valve Lash
I just hit ten hours on my GTR XD 37 EFI with Level Three Delta Performance upgrade.
I used the Briggs filter and Rotella T6- 5W-40 (Recommended by Delta), and lubed the lower with marine grease.
Now for the valves. I have yet to do valves, but I does not look all that difficult. Does anyone recommend a good YouTube video on how this is done before I tackle it?
The sheet I got from Delta reads "When performing these Valve Lash Adjustments, we recommend that the lash be set at .005" stock rockers. Roller Rockers are recommended at .006 on intake Rockers, and .008 on exhaust Rockers"
Not exactly sure what that means.

Re: First Oil Change and Valve Lash
Exhaust opening , intake closing method. When the exhaust valve JUST opens, set intake valve lash. When the intake ALMOST closes, set the exhaust lash.

Re: First Oil Change and Valve Lash
I must be doing this wrong! I have been setting my valves with the on piston top of compression stroke, thus ensuring both valves fully closed. This doesn't work correctly?

Re: First Oil Change and Valve Lash
EOIC method is more refined to ensure you are on the cam's base circle...
