Post 35 GTR Carb change?
I know this has been talked about before but I cant seem to find the info im really looking for. I broke a jet in my stock carb and want to replace the carb now. Are there any others besides mikuni or is this what I should go with and if so what model. Im trying to find them cheaper than what BPS can sell them for but don't know what model I need for my motor. Also is there any extras I need to buy when ordering one. Thanks for your help

Also I have a exhaust on it and ported the heads

If you broke one on the top of the carb with the spring, drill it about 1/8"deep with a small drill bit and take a sun glasses screw driver knock it in the drilled hole and back it out!

It was one of the ones on the bottom down in the hole about an inch. It was the 138 jet

The 36mm mikuni without the accelerator pump (tm36) is a nice inprovememt on a stock engine, and costs less than half what the 42mm costs. can get the intake adapter from Oct for under 100. Anything beyond a stock exhaust, though, and that 36mm carb will limit you (headwork, cam, etc).

I'm guessing I'm reading the wrong terminology. Breaking a jet on a stock carb would be the equivalent of breaking an anvil.

Where exactly is this broken piece?

nah blue. breaking a jet is entirely possible. not that easy, but possible. I think the fact that he can identify which jet it was should say that he's not confused about what he broke.
