 Broken Mikuni Accelerator Pump Lever

Post Broken Mikuni Accelerator Pump Lever
The white plastic accelerator pump lever on my Mikuni recently broke and looking to fix it myself. Any tips on removing the roll pin to get the lever off off the throttle shaft? Anything to beware of with the spring on the shaft? TIA
