Mine did the 1 cyl. thing it turned out to be the spark plug boot jumping fire to ground. Found it by starting it in the dark and saw the light
new ngk boots problem solved!

Just a little background... It started doing this out of the blue a couple weeks ago. Took out carb and cleaned it good and it's still doing it. Just put a new fuel pump and spark plugs in and still having issues. Just won't push a load! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebIKITA7AmI What do yall think? |

May only be running on one cylinder... On trailer pull one plug wire at a time while running... |

Also, I checked the plugs since I put new ones in and the left one was pretty fouled and the right was looked good. Also I ran a compression test for what it's worth and the right one read 120 and the left one read 90. |

Any idea as to what might need to be replaced? Spark plug is wet and exhaust isn't hot on that side. |

bad coil, plug wire jacked up, bad plug. still, you need to do the compression test correctly to get real compression numbers. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

Dirty jet on that side of the carb. I know you said you pulled the carb and cleaned it, but did you pull out the main jets and clean them very well? I'm still trying to troubleshoot the same issue with my motor. |

I am not sure if I cleaned the main jet. I took it apart and put it back together and cleaned in every little orifice, though. I very well might have but don't know for sure. What does the main jet actually look like? |

You have 2 jets on the carb. 1 for each cylinder. You can use a flathead screw driver to take them out, and blow compressed ait through it to clear it of anything that may be stuck in the jets. Make sure you remember which jets goes in which side of the carb. Not hard at all. |

I'm going to take it out in the a.m. to actually run it on the water but the left side of the muffler was cold earlier and now it's hot. I sprayed the main jets good with carb cleaner. I couldn't tell how clogged it was though. |

For some reason it ran good for about 15 seconds then went back to firing on just one cylinder. I believe I'm going to take the carb off again and soak it and make sure it's spick and span...at least if it keeps on i'll know it's not the carb. |
