 How long do clutches last?
Replacing a clutch on PD, this stuff is fairly new to me so I'm wondering how long clutches las for you guys?

If you forget to put a washer where it goes....you go through them in a matter of hours.....just speaking from experience.

No...not that spacer. A washer on one of the bolts mounting the motor to the frame.

had 350 hrs on the original clutch on my last motor and was still fine says Ronbow

One at the top of the spacer, below the engine mounting plate...and the one above the tower base plate.

Thanks for the picture. The spacers were on my friends motor. When he brought it he said his clutch wouldn't disengage. One of the brake pads (I guess thats what you would call them) on the clutch had both mounting studs broke and it was resting the flex plate part of the clutch all the time. That is the only thing I could see wrong but it would not disengage. The pto switch is working and turning the electromagnet on and off but it just won't disengage.
