35 Briggs Carb teardown
Is there any good videos or step by steps out there for a carb on a 35 Vanguard?

Re: 35 Briggs Carb teardown
Find a video on carb breakdown and cleaning. The basics of carbs are just that. Basic. They don't all look exactly the same, but they all operate very similarly, and come apart/go back together the same. Remove the bowl, use a flathead screwdriver that fits the jet slot perfectly, and don't mess up the brass. Clean the jets with carb cleaner and a soft wire so you don't make the holes any bigger than they are. Pay attention to how it comes apart, even take a couple pics to help. If you have issues getting it back together, don't force anything, and come ask for help, including pics with where you're at in the process and we'll be here to be assholes, but will ultimately help you get it back together correctly.

Make sure you don't put the left jet back in the right spot...and the right in the left hole. They are different.

Re: 35 Briggs Carb teardown
Sure, just had it off last night and the breakdown didn’t look real familiar! I’ll have to give it a good look over. Also had questions about adjusting the air-fuel. I see people cut the tabs off but was unsure of the adjustments. I know CW turns should make it leaner but was afraid I’d have it way out of whack.

You can make those adjustments while the engine is running. That'll keep you from turning them way out of whack.

Re: 35 Briggs Carb teardown
Be VERY careful removing the tabs. The shafts are scored and will break EASILY....don't ask how I know this.
