What do you guys do to clean (or use to keep clean) your motors after a day on the brackish or salt waters?

I rinse my motor motor down with fresh water as soon as I get home. I used to spray Wd-40 shit like that but didn’t find it doing much good. I have 350 hrs on my motor running nearly all salt/brackish water and the only problem I find I have is the Exposed shaft in between the seals and prop start to rust. Took 250 hrs to cause any problems last round. Oh and of course the exhaust looks like shit

I have cases upon cases of corrosion-X. The thick shit in the spray can.
When I had my motor brand new, I sprayed the entire motor down with it, and that helped out a lot.

Fresh water rinse when I get home and a good dousing of Water Displacement Forty on everything.

I wrap my spark plugs with electrical tape to prevent the arching and grounding out on the heads.

Wash motor with fresh water

Corrosion-X the whole thing before the 1st run to build a base layer.

Can you explain what you mean by wrapping the spark plug with electrical tape? I've never done it but I it sounds like a good idea.

Carwash after every trip. And I also use a corrosion protectant spray that looks like crap, but when you take it off with a mild degreaser and water the motor still looks new
