Belt drive or gear driven like MB sport Vs

 Belt drive or gear driven like MB sport Vs What are the pros and cons of a sport v or boss drive unit over a belt??
Can those units turn RPMs like a belt drive?

Re: Belt drive or gear driven like MB sport Vs Belt cheaper to replace, and absorbs prop impact better. Changing the gearing cheaper to match load. Gear drives loose about 10% of their rated HP. Belt drives a little lighter. V drives more like a regular OB motor.
