Piston Rings
If your Piston rings are worn and causing blowby, would you need to replace the entire block or can you replace just the rings?

Re: Piston Rings
You should be able hone the cylinder and install new rings.
If the cylinder has wear you can bore it out and go to the next size up piston. (Shouldn't need a new block)
