To give you an idea of speeds on a large boat. I had a 35 GTR with heads decked. 030, 308 cam, and a k&n air filter on a 2060 Phowler. I upgraded to a 40 MB and am seeing about the same speeds loaded and unloaded. I get about 28-29 in skinny water with just myself. I cruise around 22 with a hunting load of 3 guys, dog, and hard sided blind.

Thanks for the comp. I am still very on the fence. I have a hard time dropping cash on a new motor when mine works fine.
