Quick question, but are the pins pressed or floating in the rod end? Been awhile since I tore one down and cannot recall. |

It's a pretty snug fit, but doesn't need a press. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

in all honest it is too FUCKING tight lol. Most all motors I take apart the bottom of the piston is discolored at the piston pin from lack of clearance... It is splash lubed.. |

yep. inconsistency. They should free float in both the piston and the rod.. I usually see more of the piston being too light and it rotates on the rod only. A lot of times I see it on motors than some joe bubba has take apart and has beaten the piston pin with a punch "mushrooming" the ends causing issues too... so. There isn't enough clearance IMO to start with stock though. |
