2004 Mud Buddy 24 hp SD hyperdrive - Honda V twin block
Does anybody know anything about this motor? Looking at buying a used one just because he's not asking much for it. I know the risks of buying used and I know I'd be better off buying new.. If I can get a bargain il take it.
Trying to figure out what the deal is with the trim control on this motor. Doesn't look like anything like the way their set up today. Theres a control panel box on the steering tiller, it has the kill switch clip and a pull out lever that looks like a choke lever (is this the old trim control?).
Does anyone know if this motor was previously equipped with power trip? Or is it some kind of balance drive where trim control sets itself? The motor I am looking at particularly the switches on the control box don't work. So it either had power trim that was removed, or I am missing something and the little control box has nothing to do with trim
Much appreciated,

Doesn't look like a trim switch. Got any pics of the frame? That Honda is a reliable engine. Should last a long time.

I've never had a honda engine either so glad to know their reliable. I am not as much worried about engine issues, its not locked up, it will be in Salt Lake so will need to be readjusted for altitude anyway. Just would like to figure out the trim deal

Its got a choke pull on the engine block, thats what made me think the pull switch on the control panel wouldn't be a choke.

Contact mudbuddy tomorrow with those pics. I bet they can explain the trim and that pull knob. They're in salt lake, so you can probably even run it by there.
