| Post subject: | Lightweight shortail reccomendations for a canoe |
First post. I’m looking for recommendations for a new shortail setup to be used on a 15’ Grumman sport canoe. I live in New Mexico and want to use it primarily on the Rio grande river. I would need to carry it in to some spots and would need to be able to travel upriver up to a few miles. I’ve previously run a mud buddy 13 long tail and a scavenger 13. I liked the scavenger better it seemed easier to handle and would run upriver but was too heavy to carry into remote spots. The river can get narrow which would require a short distance to turn around. I don’t want a longtail motor and can’t use an outboard due to running into shallow sand bars. I appreciate any best recommendations. Thanks |
