Any reliability issues out there with the new 40EFI compared to a 37EFI?

Not looking for EFI vs carb comparisons. Specifically asking about issues with the 40EFI.

Thanks.

I have 18 hours on my 40 GTR. No issues whatsoever

I know a guy that has about 170 on his and he has nothing but but good things to say about it. He was one of the few that ran them for GT before they were made available to purchase.

Early models had valve troubles at 50 to 100 hours....

Briggs has changed the metalurgy in the seats and valves - jury still out on
long term reliability but newest models seem improved.... Least thats what
the factory reps at GD told me....

Do you have one that you have put 50-100 hours on already? Just curious if you verified that with personal experience.
